Eastleigh Ladies Hockey CLUB

Club training takes place every Wednesday night during the Winter Season, between late-August and mid-March each year. We train on the floodlit astro pitches at Thornden School (SO50 2DW), between 1930 – 2100 hrs. New players are always welcome to pop along to any training session; you're guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome, and we always have spare kit if you want to borrow some.

AND AWAY FROM THE PITCH?

wHAT ABOUT TRAINING?

Outside of the hockey scene we run an informal fitness group, with members jogging at the local Park Run, simply to keep ourselves ticking over and to stay in touch.

Off the pitch the Eastleigh Ladies Hockey Club is vibrant. We hold a Christmas function for all members, have monthly social gatherings at local pubs & clubs throughout the area, as well as organised social trips. If all that has not convinced you, then give us a call, or drop us a line sometime. There is always a warm welcome.

Who are we?

Most League and cup matches are played on a Saturday, at Thornden School (SO50 2DW). We also participate in an Indoor League throughout the Winter months; these matches are played on Tuesday nights at Place Leisure Eastleigh from 19:00 hours.

There are also Summer League games, played for fun and fitness during May-July, on Tuesday nights from 19:00 hours.

When do we play?

With 2 ladies’ teams, Eastleigh offers female hockey players of any ability the chance for a game. Our 1st Team plays in Hampshire Women’s Hockey League Division 2, whilst the 2nd Team plays in Division 5. We also enter teams and run an indoor league during the winter months as well as playing in the Hampshire summer league.
